How much does a buffet cost at Hotel Shanker?
Pricing and Options:
- Lunch Buffet Only: NPR 3,500 net per person for a group of 100 pax
- Lunch Buffet with Snacks: NPR 4,500 net per person for a group of 100 pax
- Dinner Buffet Only: NPR 3,500 net per person for a group of 100 pax
- Dinner Buffet with Snacks: NPR 4,500 net per person for a group of 100 pax
- Hi-Tea: NPR 2,000 net per person for a group of 100 pax
Pricing may vary depending on customization, guest count, and additional services requested.
What are the banquet/event beverage rates?
Beverage Rates & Policies:
- Soft Drinks (250 ml): NPR 185 Net per glass
- Beer (650 ml bottle): NPR 850-1,075 Net per bottle (Depending on the brand of the beer)
- Beer and soft drinks must be consumed from the hotel.
- Hard liquor and wine brought by hosts are allowed; corkage charges are waived.
Corkage: No charges for Wine & Whiskey, but bar service must be operated by hotel bartenders. Outside vendors are not permitted.
Is the banquet menu available online?
The detailed banquet menu is not publicly available or listed online, as menu selections can be customized according to the event requirements.
However, guest can expect the following menu structure:
- Snacks: 6 varieties of hors d'oeuvres, plus 1 Live Counter (For Garden venue) or 1 Stationary Counter (For Durbar Hall)
- Salads: 4 varieties at the salad bar
- Main Course: A selection of international and local dishes (Includes 1 Live Counter if hosted in Mansarovar Hall)
- Desserts: 5 dessert selections
The exact dishes and menu selections are finalized with the Sales Team based on the event type, guest preferences, venue, and customization requirements.
If guests would like a detailed menu, it is available upon request through the sales team.
Are discounts or special offers available for events?
Event discounts and special pricing/offers are:- Determined through consultation
- Based on guest count, package selection, and event scale
- Finalized directly with the sales team
What is the charge for a DJ in the banquet?
DJ services (soft music) start from NPR 25,000 and above.The final quotation is provided based on specific event requirements after discussion with the sales team.

What is the charge for the Snacks Live Counter (BBQ)?
- Snacks Live Counter Station (BBQ): NPR 25,000 per station
Additional customization or setup requirements may be discussed with the sales team.
- Hall booking is available only with the hotel's in-house catering services.
- Outside catering is not permitted.
- All food & beverage services must be arranged through the hotel.
Do you provide outdoor catering services?
We do not provide outdoor catering services. All food and beverage services are managed by in-house catering and must be hosted within the hotel premises.
If you are planning an event, we would be happy to assist you in hosting your event at the hotel. For a group of [number of guests], we have suitable venues and catering options available.
What are the decoration and lighting policies?
- Decoration is not included in the buffet cost.
- Normal stage setup, entrance gate, display board, and basic lighting are allowed.
- IMPORTANT: If the host brings their own decoration for full garden decoration with extensive lighting, a venue decoration handling charge of NPR 50,000–1,00,000 will apply, depending on the design.
- Outside decorators require prior written approval and must coordinate with the hotel for setup timing and technical requirements.
